About the role: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in managing challenging behaviours. You will work closely with children in Key Stage 1 and 2 who have diverse special educational needs, including SEMH and behavioural challenges. Your role will involve delivering tailored support, promoting positive behaviour, and creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity that requires someone who can make an immediate impact.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with challenging behaviours or SEMH needs.• A calm and patient approach to managing behaviour.• The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff.• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and group support for children with behavioural challenges.• Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs.• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create personalised learning plans.• Foster a safe and inclusive environment where children feel supported.• Monitor progress and adapt support strategies as necessary.
