About the role:
We’re looking for an empathetic and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise in managing challenging behaviours. Your role will involve supporting Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students with behavioural and emotional needs, helping them thrive academically and socially. You’ll be an integral part of the school’s SEND team, working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to create tailored interventions and strategies. Application Requirements:
• Have experience working with children with challenging behaviours or SEMH needs.
• Possess strong behaviour management skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Are confident working 1:1 and in small groups, providing targeted support.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience in handling complex situations.
• Hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting students with challenging behaviours in their learning journey.
• Implementing behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
• Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure student progress.
• Contributing to EHCP reviews and maintaining accurate records of student development.
