Start: September | Salary: £88.94 – £100 per day | Full-Time, Ongoing Role
Academics, a leading national education recruitment agency, is seeking a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a bright and capable child in Year 3 with autism and a hearing impairment. This full-time position begins in September at a warm, inclusive primary school in Solihull. Your Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 academic support, especially in phonics, literacy, and numeracy
Adapt strategies to meet the child’s needs around autism and hearing impairment
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and track EHCP targets
Promote confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Previous experience supporting children with autism and/or hearing impairments
Strong understanding of phonics teaching and early academic development
Minimum 3 months of experience in a UK primary school SEN role
Patient, positive, and committed to helping children succeed
Based in or able to commute to Solihull
Available full-time from September
