The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (Challenging Behaviours Specialist), you will:

• Work one-to-one and in small groups with students who present challenging behaviours

• Use positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement and learning

• Support students with their emotional regulation, social skills, and classroom participation

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to implement tailored support plans

• Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For: SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant working with children with challenging behaviours, SEMH, or ASD

• A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management

• Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement strategies

• A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning

• Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
