Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist support team. This role focuses on supporting students with PMLD and ASD, providing personal care, and assisting in the delivery of tailored educational programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students feel safe, supported, and empowered within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to students with PMLD and ASD during daily learning and activities.
* Assist with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support, ensuring dignity and sensitivity at all times.
* Implement individualized learning plans, following guidance from teaching staff and SEN specialists.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters student engagement and learning.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet each child’s physical, social, and emotional needs.
* Utilize sensory and communication aids as required to support students’ learning experiences.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with PMLD, ASD, or other complex needs, ideally in an educational setting.
* A respectful and compassionate approach to providing personal care.
* Excellent communication skills, patience, and a supportive nature.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to student well-being and success.
