SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a dynamic and energetic individual passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives? Teach Now is thrilled to be recruiting for an exciting SEN Teaching Assistant role at a warm and inclusive Junior and Infant School in Barnet, London.

This fantastic opportunity is to work 1:1 with a bright, articulate Year 1 pupil who is high achieving but can also become highly dysregulated. While the pupil engages well with classroom learning, they may need to work outside of class for significant periods when dysregulation occurs. Therefore, we are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant who is highly active, resilient, and can provide a calm, nurturing approach.

You’ll be joining a school that prides itself on its caring ethos, strong sense of community, and commitment to valuing every child’s uniqueness. Staff and pupils alike are proud to be part of a setting that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:

• Have prior experience working with children with emotional or behavioural needs
• Be confident in managing dysregulation and promoting positive behaviour
• Bring energy, patience, and genuine enthusiasm to every day
• Value inclusivity and celebrate the success of every child

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to build strong, trusting relationships and make a lasting impact within a supportive and happy environment. If you’re ready to take on a fulfilling new challenge, apply today!
