The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
• Assist teachers in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Support the development of students’ academic, social, and emotional skills
• Help implement personalised learning plans and track student progress
• Foster independence, confidence, and a love of learning in every pupil
• Participate in staff training, school events, and enrichment activities
Ideal Candidate Qualities
• Experience supporting students with SEN in a secondary school setting (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their best
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
• Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team
