We are currently working with a specialist school for children with autism in South East London who are looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their school.
The Role
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children and young people with autism within small class settings. The school have opportunities across both their primary and secondary provision so you can use your skills and experience within a phase you are comfortable supporting. Pupils access learning through pathways and therefore classes are based on needs as oppose to age. You will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to prepare learning and development activities and support pupils through a wide range of classes, therapy sessions and off-site enrichment days.
The school are looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants with previous experience supporting children or adults with autism or those who have a genuine interested in entering the special needs education sector.

This large, and highly-respected specialist school is based in South East London offers an environment where children from 4 – 19 years with autism can develop and make progress in a supportive and caring environment. Across 3 sites, the school supports pupils in specialist centres which all benefit from excellent facilities including indoor and outdoor learning spaces and specialist sensory and therapy rooms. There is a range of expertise throughout the school including highly-skilled SEND teachers and teaching assistants and a team of therapists who use a holistic approach to make learning fun, appropriate and enriching for all children. Staff work closely with both parents and external support provision to ensure every child receives the support they need.
