About the role:
SEN TA: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic new school in Havering, London. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in January 2025, where you will provide support in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) classroom, working with children in the infant age group. As part of a supportive and welcoming team, you will assist children with various special educational needs (SEN), helping them thrive in their educational journey.
The school has high expectations, offering a nurturing environment with a strong focus on inclusion and academic success. You’ll be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to the development and implementation of tailored learning strategies. Your role will involve providing one-on-one and small group support, helping students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.

Application Requirements: SEN TA:
• Experience working with SEN students is essential
.• CACHE Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience within an EYFS setting is highly beneficial.
• A caring, empathetic nature with a passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
.• A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to different learning needs.
Key Responsibilities: SEN TA:
• Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the EYFS classroom
• Work alongside the class teacher to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with a variety of needs
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons that cater to all learning abilities
• Promote positive behaviour and support social and emotional development
• Liaise with other staff members, to ensure the best outcomes for children.
