GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Plymouth. About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 3 to 19, delivering tailored support to meet their individual educational and emotional needs. The role is perfect for someone who is passionate about inclusivity and creating positive learning experiences.
Working Hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and group support for students with special educational needs.
Assist in developing and implementing individualised education and support plans in collaboration with teachers and professionals.
Create a nurturing environment that encourages social interaction, emotional well-being, and academic progress.
Support classroom activities and help implement targeted interventions to ensure progress and engagement.
Adapt to the varying needs of students, ensuring inclusivity in all aspects of their learning.
Requirements
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are mandatory for this role.
Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to diverse needs.
