Description

We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join A vibrant primary school in central Liverpool. This role involves working 1:1 with a child who has special educational needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, develop socially, and achieve their full potential.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement the child’s individual support plan and ensure a consistent, nurturing approach across the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 in-class support to a pupil with SEN, adapting learning materials and activities to meet their needs.

Implement strategies and interventions outlined in the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Assist with personal care and managing behaviour where necessary, ensuring the child’s safety and wellbeing.

*

Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to review progress and contribute to planning.

*

Support the pupil’s social and emotional development, encouraging confidence, independence, and positive interaction with peers.

*

Maintain accurate records of the pupil’s progress and any incidents, contributing to regular review meetings.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures
