Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently shortlisting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our valued partner schools in Twickenham.
Position Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to pupils with a range of special education needs. You will help pupils access the curriculum, promote their development, and create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individual and group support to pupils with special education needs.
* Assist in implementing personalised education plans.
* Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and the SENCo to foster an inclusive learning environment.
* Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development.
* Help pupils develop essential life skills and encourage their independence.
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in classroom activities.
* Track, monitor, and report on pupils’ progress.
* Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
Qualifications:
* Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role is essential.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or related fields are preferred.
* Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, understanding, and a passion for supporting pupils with special needs.
* Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
