SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to Support a Child with ASD

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Location: Wandsworth

Contract Type: Full-time, 8.30am – 15.30pm

Salary: £100 per day

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with ASD. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support, helping the child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions.

Support the child with daily tasks, ensuring a calm, structured, and inclusive environment.

Encourage positive social interactions and manage sensory needs.

Use creative and adaptable approaches to engage the child in learning.

Monitor progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents/carers.

About You:

Experience working with children with ASD or other Special Educational Needs is desirable.

A calm, patient, and understanding demeanor.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
