Are you a kind, energetic, and nurturing professional with experience supporting children with ASD and behavioural needs? A fantastic primary school based in Angel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team in a split-role position.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position split across two key responsibilities:
Morning: Supporting a group of Year 2 students with Special Educational Needs, ensuring their academic and social development in a nurturing and structured environment.
Afternoon: Providing 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ASD and behavioural challenges, fostering a positive and engaging learning experience tailored to their needs.Key Responsibilities:
Building strong, trusting relationships with students to support their confidence and development.
Assisting with classroom activities and ensuring children remain engaged and focused.
Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
Supporting the emotional and social development of pupils in both roles.
Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent and effective support.About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children with ASD and behavioural needs in a school setting.
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
A proactive and positive attitude to overcoming challenges.
