SEND HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
Location: Peterborough
Pay: £80-£100 per day, based on experience and qualifications
Contract: Full-time and Part-time available
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the skills and dedication to help young learners reach their full potential? We are seeking a SEND HLTA to join our welcoming school community in Peterborough.
About the Role:
Preparing classrooms, setting up resources, and aiding learning.
Delivering lessons and small group interventions.
Covering classes in teacher’s absence.
Planning and delivering enrichment activities.
Assisting students needing extra attention.
Assessing progress and liaising with teachers, parents, and carers.
Supervising excursions and sporting events.
Key Tasks:
Assist students with SEND in their learning and development.
Help deliver lessons, adapting materials and activities to meet students’ needs.
Work one-on-one and in small groups to provide focused attention.
Help implement Education Plans and Behaviour Plans.
Assist students with social and communication skills, building confidence.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and needs.
Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A formal qualification in Teaching & Learning (or an equivalent qualification).
Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
A patient, adaptable approach when working with students with SEND.
The ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.
