SEND Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)

£416.65 – £450 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

March 2025 – July 2025

The School and Role

A Primary School based in Newcastle are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time from March 2025. The Teaching Assistant will have excellent knowledge and prior experience of supporting children with SEND and must be confident in undertaking 1:1 and small group work. This role will involve supporting children from EYFS – Y6 throughout the week. This is a long-term role with potential to turn permanent.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:
– Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
– An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Preferably have experience of working across EYFS – Year 6.
– Excellent communication skills.
– A calm and approachable manner.
