anzuk Education is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Lewisham. This role involves supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEND) across all year groups, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The role could be working day-to-day across different schools, or full-time in one school if you prefer.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning strategies.
Support students with activities of daily living, personal care, and mobility, as required.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation.
Provide one-to-one support and assistance to students with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom. Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of students with SEND.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A positive and proactive attitude towards overcoming challenges and adapting to the needs of individual students.
Relevant qualifications in education or SEND support are advantageous but not essential. About anzuk Education:
