This is a great opportunity to join a successful, award-winning, family-owned business, who specialise in waste removal services.
Due to the type of work involved, you will need to be able to deal with unpleasant scenes and situations someone that is thick-skinned. The role could be suited to someone with an ex-military background, but applications are welcome from anyone.
You will be working on a variety of projects, from house and office clearances to biohazardous material pick-ups for hospitals in the region and garden junk removal and sometimes these sites can be quite dirty.
Our client is also committed to protecting the environment by implementing a zero-to-landfill policy.
What we need from you as a Site Clearance Operative:
- You must hold a UK Driving Licence, ideally with access to your own vehicle (For commute to the company premises in Tamworth)
- You will need to be physically fit, as the work can be physically demanding
- You will have a good personality friendly, polite
- Have a sense of humour but know when a more professional approach is needed
- Able to problem solve and use your initiative think on your feet
- Be hardworking, trustworthy and motivated
- Able to work on your own or as part of a team
- You will be required to pass a DBS check
What the role involves:
- Lift and move heavy objects/furniture, clear sites on a day-to-day basis
- Liaise with clients and customers in a professional and sometimes compassionate manner
- Adhere to Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Complete daily vehicle checks and complete legal paperwork accurately that must be provided to clients
- Report to your line manager with any problems at the earliest opportunity
- Manage jobs accordingly and think outside of the box
Salary/hours: £24,000 – £27,000 per year. Working Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5.30pm, 45 hours per week. Opportunity to work a weekend if work arises.
