Project / Site Manager
Location: Nottingham
Charge Rate: £400 – £500 per day
Contract Length: 12 months (potentially longer)
Working Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 5 days per week, with weekend work as needed
Build Cost: Approximately £9 million
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project / Site Manager to oversee the construction of a 12,500 sqft Passivhaus residential development in Nottingham. This exciting, high-end, one-off residential project requires attention to detail and a high level of care to ensure it is completed to the highest standards. The project will involve managing a wide variety of subcontractors, trades, and labour, as well as working closely with the client and key stakeholders.
Site Manager Key Responsibilities:
Site Management: Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Subcontractor and Labour Oversight: Oversee and manage subcontractors, tradespeople, and labour teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all aspects of the project.
Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between the client, stakeholders, and the site team. Communicate effectively to ensure the smooth running of the project and keep the client updated on progress.
Quality Control: Ensure that all work is carried out in line with the project’s specifications, quality standards, and architectural design. Pay particular attention to bespoke, complex finishes and ensure these are executed precisely.
Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment on site, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any site issues or delays, proactively managing challenges and ensuring that the project stays on track.
Budget and Timeline Management: Work closely with the project team to ensure the project is delivered within the agreed budget and timeline. Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience managing one-off residential developments, particularly those involving complex and bespoke finishes. Previous involvement with Passivhaus projects would be highly advantageous.
Leadership: Ability to manage and lead a team, ensuring that all workers and subcontractors are focused on delivering quality results.
Project Management Skills: Strong background in project management with excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring that the project is completed to the highest quality and design standards.
Health and Safety: Thorough understanding of health and safety procedures, with experience maintaining a safe working environment.
Client-facing Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications: Relevant project management or site management qualifications are preferred. Benefits:
