Job Title: Skilled Labourer
Location: Blackburn, BL7 0JG
Start Date: Immediate start from 24th February
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled labourer with a valid RASWA ticket to join our team for a critical construction project in Blackburn. The project involves replacing a retaining wall, installing a new Flex MSE wall (70m in length), taking down a section of the road, installing a new drainage run, resurfacing, timber post installation, and minor de-vegetation work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the replacement of the existing retaining wall and installation of a new Flex MSE wall (70m in length).
* Help take down a section of the road and install a new drainage run.
* Participate in resurfacing the road and installing timber posts.
* Perform minor de-vegetation work as required.
* Operate and maintain construction equipment and machinery.
* Follow health and safety standards and report any issues.
* Support the site manager and other team members as needed.
* Ensure the work area is clean and safe.
Qualifications:
* Valid RASWA ticket.
* Valid CSCS ticket
* Proven experience as a skilled labourer in construction, particularly in civils, earthworks, and drainage.
* Familiarity with construction procedures and materials.
* Ability to operate construction equipment and machinery.
* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
