As a Sous Chef, you will work with the Head Chef in preparing all residents meals, ensuring work is carried out in a safe and hygienic way, the kitchen is kept clean, meeting the Food Safety guidelines and the care homes own high standards.

Person specification

Basic numeric and literacy skills

Basic food hygiene certificate as a minimum. Must be willing to complete L3 Food Hygiene certificate

Ability to use and maintain essential catering and cleaning products

Knowledge of basic food preparation, stock control and rotation

Good communication skills

Practical and organised

Team player

Reliable and punctual

Hours of work: (08:00-18:00) and you will be expected to work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on, followed by three consecutive shifts off, which equates to an average of 35 hours per week in total.

Hourly Rate of Pay: £14.70
