As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or Speech and Language difficulties. SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role:
Provide individual and small group support for students with SEN.
Implement and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs.
Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEND team.
Support academic, social, and emotional development.
Record progress, observations, and maintain detailed reports.
SEN Teaching Assistant – Qualifications and Skills:
Experience working with SEN students (desirable).
Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEN.
Calm, patient, and proactive manner.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A current, enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
