Sports Coach

Sports Coach – Southampton SEN SchoolI am recruiting on behalf of an ‘Outstanding’ Primary SEN School in Southampton who are looking for a passionate and creative Sports Coach to join their amazing team on a permanent contract. This is a term-time position to start ASAP.

As a Level 2 Sports Coach, you will responsible for teaching PE across the full primary age range for children with a variety of complex academic, physical and emotional/behavioural needs. You will be teaching full classes, smaller groups and individuals on a 1:1 basis.

You will benefit from excellent facilities and equipment including the school hall, multi-sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pool, large playing field, trim trails and MUGA.

You main responsibilities will include:Working with individuals and groups of children with complex needs and be required to provide PPA cover through delivering PE sessionsLeading a class for sessions around the PE lesson in regard to life skills and PSHELeading a sports club on a weekly basis

You must have an excellent understanding of and have experience of working with children with complex needs.You must also possess previous experience of coaching and leading PE sessions.

Salary ranges from £20,801 – £24,399 per year.The successful Sports Coach must have a UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification or equivalent.
