Job Title: Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Lambeth
Salary: £90 to £100 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a progressive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Lambeth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by supporting students with additional needs through sport and physical activity.
As a Sports Graduate TA, you will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and personal development for students who face barriers to learning. This includes working 1:1 with pupils who display challenging behaviour and supporting outdoor education sessions such as rock climbing, paddle boarding, and sailing.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Supporting students with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD on a 1:1 and group basis
Assisting with classroom-based activities and outdoor learning interventions
Promoting physical activity as a tool for engagement and development
Helping students develop confidence, social skills, and emotional regulation
Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to provide a nurturing and structured learning environment
We’re Looking For Someone With:
A degree in Sports Science, PE, Outdoor Education, or a related field
Experience working with young people with SEND or behavioural needs (desirable)
Background in youth work, sports coaching, care work, or mentoring
Confidence to engage students in both academic and physical activities
A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting inclusion
Strong understanding of emotional, social, and mental health needs
