Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 Per annum, dependent on experience
Job type: Permanent, Full time
Working Hours: Mon-Friday 8am – 5pm or 7am – 4pm
The Role:
Westone Housing Ltd are a building and property conversion and repair company based in Peterborough. Using our own employed trades and approved contractors, Westone carries out property reinstatement and rebuild services in the insurance industry plus conversions and improvements in both residential and commercial property markets.
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and organised storeman to join our team in Peterborough. Reporting directly to the logistics & procurement manager, you will play a vital role in managing and organising our warehouse and yard, ensuring materials are collected and allocated efficiently to the right jobs. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a well-organised workspace.
Please note that some travel will be required for Material collection & delivery during working hours.
Key responsibilities:
Assist with the collection and allocation of materials to various jobs
Maintain the organisation and housekeeping of the warehouse and yard
Checks on company vehicles
Health and safety checks
Safely handle and store materials in compliance with health and safety regulations
Provide support in other supply chain activities as needed
Opening and locking the premisesAbout you:
Physically fit and able to manage manual handling duties
Full clean driving license
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of organisational skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essentialWhat We Offer:
