New Year, New Goals and New Opportunities to join our team in Greenock as a Support Practitioner!!
Due to an increase in hours, our fabulous team are on the lookout for compassionate and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join them as Support Practitioners. We have 39 and 16 hour contracts available.
You don’t need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner and pay you for time.
The Role
Join our dedicated and friendly team at William Street Dispersed, where we provide support to individuals in our criminal justice, forensic, drug and alcohol addiction, and mental health services. As a Support Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in assisting with daily living tasks including meal preparation, medication management, attending appointments and activities, handling personal finances, and personal care. As well as practical support, you’ll also offer emotional guidance and help individuals maintain meaningful relationships with their family and friends, empowering them to thrive in their own homes and communities
The people we support have a wide range of interests and hobbies and we’d love for you to get involved! Whether it’s joining them for bingo nights, attending shows at the Beacon Theatre, cheering on their favourite football teams, or capturing the beauty of nature through photography, every day brings something new. At times, they may face challenges with their mental health or struggle with motivation, so we’re looking for someone creative and compassionate to help them stay active and connected with their community, while also respecting their need for quiet moments when needed.
To be part of our team, we’ll need you to:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in using computers.
- Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
- Good organisational skills.
Shift Patterns
Our dedicated friendly team provide 24/7 support which is tailored to the needs of each individual, so depending on shift length you may be supporting more than one individual but do not worry as we factor travel into your hours. Our shifts include earlier, lates, days, waking nights and sleepovers.
The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours so for every sleepover you cover you will be paid an additional £99.20.

All successful Support Practitioner applicants will be given a conditional offer- this is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and PVG; having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector. All new staff members will be required to register with the SSSC within 3 months of their start date.
