Support worker –Ty Bronllys, Brecon
£11.60 to £12.00 per hour dependent on experience,Full time – 40.25 hours –Plus £1200Annual location allowance

About our home Ty Bronllys:

Ty Bronllys is nestled in beautifully scenic Brecon beacons National Park and offers a charming rural setting, beautiful landscapes and historic attractions. Our residents at Ty Bronllys like to take regular walks and hikes in the surrounding areas, visiting the local village and venturing into the rolling hills, lush green fields and engaging with the local history, including Bronllys Castle.On other days, they may wish to venture to Merthyr for shopping and swimming, or perhaps a visit to Brecon and take a walk along the river, stopping at a café for cake.

A typical day will include:

As a Support Worker atTy Bronllys, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people, supporting their daily activities, educational needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a magnificent team including teachers, therapists and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
  • Implement individualisedcare plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team.
  • Support our young people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our young people, celebrating their achievementsand milestones.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity withchildrenand requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
