Job Introduction

Support WorkerPay rate: £12 – £12:30 per hour (Monthly Pay)Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday – 12 hour shifts (8am-8pm & 8pm-8am)Requirements: Full UK Driving License would be advantageousPrevious experience within clinical care would be advantageous, however full training will be provided.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Littleport, Cambridge area and able to commute.

We’ve got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in Littleport, Cambridgeshire who suffers from Cerebral Palsy and requires full support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care. He loves to have a good relationship with his team and his interests include watching TV, playing with his cats and doing work on his computer. He also loves to go out into the community, attending festivals, visiting local attractions such as farms and going on holidays.

There is clinical needs for this individual including PEG feeding, Tracheostomy and the use of a Stoma bag but full training will be provided.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.

  • Support with all facets of daily living – including personal care.
  • Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning and feeding animals.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the individual’s safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.
  • confidentiality and respect privacy.
  • Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.

  • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
