Description
We are recruiting a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join a leading provider of care and education services for young people. This role involves promoting the rights of young individuals, providing high-quality care, and fostering a safe, supportive, and homely environment. You will help young people reach their full potential, both individually and as part of a team, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day support to young people, ensuring their well-being and development.
* Build trusting relationships, promote positive behaviour, and encourage healthy lifestyles.
* Assist with educational and vocational progress and help young people build positive social networks.
* Participate in group activities, meals preparation, and assist with young people’s transition out of care.
* Maintain accurate records and report on young people’s progress and incidents.
* Collaborate with staff, families, social workers, and external agencies to ensure holistic care.
* Follow safeguarding protocols and report concerns promptly.
* Adhere to company policies, health & safety guidelines, and participate in ongoing training.
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their development.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and maintain positive professional relationships.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting young people’s welfare.
* Willingness to undergo training and work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
