Job Title: Tail Lift Fitter
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Tail Lift Fitter from a manufacturing / engineering environment.
We have worked with this client for several years; they offer a first class working environment and the opportunity to work in the Manufacturing sector.
Tail Lift Fitter – Main Duties:
* Installation and fitting of tail lifts to vehicles to a high standard of workmanship:
* Reading and understanding drawings
* Reflect drawing requirement in fitting process (cut-outs, ancillary parts mounting positions etc)
* Mounting tail lifts to correct position
* Electrical wiring installation
* Hydraulic connection
* Testing of tail lifts
* Documentation of test results (certification)
* Problem solving, fault finding and rectification.
* Mounting and connection of auxiliary lights
* Safe working practices
* High standard of housekeeping
They require a Tail Lift Fitter with a minimum 5 years’ experience.
Qualifications / Skills/ Experience:
* Mechanical fitting knowledge within an Engineering or Commercial Vehicle environment
* Fitting experience with any DEL, D’Hollandia, or Palfinger tail lifts
* Experience in fitting any column, cantilever and/or tuckaway tail lifts.
* Safe and efficient tool handling
* Appropriate hydraulic knowledge
* Appropriate electrical knowledge
* Welding and fabrication
Salary / Hourly Rates:
Monday to Friday:
07.00 – 15.30 plus some overtime.
Pay rate will depend on experience
Starting rate will be around £12 to £13 rising up to £14.24 after training
