Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join an SEN school in Bournemouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners while gaining valuable experience in the education sector.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
Assisting with classroom activities and helping to adapt lessons to individual needs
Encouraging students’ social and emotional development
Helping with personal care and sensory support if required
Managing behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting students during break times and outdoor activities
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best possible support for each child

Who We’re Looking For:
Individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
Experience working with children in any capacity (schools, care, youth work, etc.) is beneficial but not essential
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
A proactive and adaptable approach to working in different classroom settings
The ability to work well within a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
