We are currently working alongside a Special School in the Wakefield area who are looking to appoint a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants. The school are looking for a forward thinking Graduate who has a passion for pursuing a career within education.
This school are very open in regards to degree discipline and currently have three vacancies, due to commence as the new academic year. The ideal candidates will have some experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) or youth work background.
The school caters for pupils aged between 11 to 16 with an Education, Health and Care Plan for Severe Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
Their aim is to prepare every pupil for a positive future, developing a pupil’s academic, social and emotional skills.
Staff work closely together as a team and support pupils to achieve as much as possible from a wide range of starting points, ensuring that all pupils make good progress.
The successful candidates will be joining an inspirational and successful team who all work together and support pupils to achieve as much as possible from a wide range of starting points, ensuring that all pupils make good progress.
You will be well supported by a strong leadership team who have a clear vision for the future of the school.
Requirements
* Experience working within a similar setting previously.
* Team Teach qualified or be willing to attend a course
* Hold a degree in any subject
* 2x references
* An enhanced valid DBS
Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
