Horizon Teachers are currently working with an Ofsted Outstanding rated Primary School in Lewisham, that are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in their Reception class that has mild special educational needs and requires close support.
You will be working alongside a very supportive team of Teaching Assistants, also working closely with a number of children to support their start into education and help provide the best transition into KS1.
This role is to start ASAP after the half-term until the end of the academic year and will continue from September until July 2026, on a full-time basis.
Due to the needs of the children you will be working with, it would be very desirable if you have previous experience supporting children within EYFS or that have Special Educational Needs. This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £575 per week.
What the school are looking for in their Teaching Assistants:
- Experience supporting children within a Nursery or School setting.
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable.
- Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
- Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
