Description

  • Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt resources and activities to meet pupil needs.

  • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers.

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils to support their social and emotional development.

  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and respect.

  • Support pupils during transitions, break times, and any off-site activities if required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, CACHE, or similar).

  • Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training.

  • Experience working with specific needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties, or SEMH.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
