LTF Recruitment is seeking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students at a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Derby (DE24). The successful candidate will join a nurturing and high-performing school community, committed to helping students achieve their full potential through a positive and proactive approach.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to establish a strong support network
Work closely with teachers to understand students’ learning styles, strengths, and areas for development
Develop a positive, inclusive classroom environment that ensures every student feels valued and supported
Build positive relationships with students, helping them adhere to school rules and expectationsPerson Specification:
A relevant qualification or degree is desirable but not essential
Previous experience working in an educational setting or similar role
Ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapting teaching methods and providing personalised support
A strong passion for education and commitment to enhancing students’ learning experiences
An up-to-date DBS and two references are required
