Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (KS2 – Challenging Behaviour)
Location: Rossendale
Salary: £425 – £450 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2025
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 with challenging behaviour at a primary school in Rossendale. If you have experience working with children who require tailored support and can bring patience, resilience, and a positive approach to the role, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with challenging behaviour.
Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans.
Help create a calm and supportive classroom environment.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop strategies for behaviour management.
Monitor and track the pupil’s progress and provide regular feedback.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour, ideally within a school setting.
A calm, patient, and understanding approach with the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
A passion for supporting children’s emotional and educational development.
