1:1 Teaching Assistant – SEND (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Location: Near Market Rasen, Lincolnshire LN8
Start Date: January 2025

Simply Education is excited to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) from January 2025. This is a long-term, full-time role, and we are looking for a passionate professional with experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a child with an EHCP, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
Assist the child with accessing the curriculum and participating fully in classroom activities.
Support the child’s social, emotional, and behavioural development, promoting independence and self-esteem.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to develop and implement strategies tailored to the child’s specific needs.
Contribute to the development and review of the child’s learning plan and progress reports.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a 1:1 support role.
Understanding of EHCPs and how to implement support plans effectively.
Ability to build rapport with children, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and motivated.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children with additional needs thrive.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
A proactive approach and ability to adapt to the child’s changing needs.
