Teaching Assistant – Independent Specialist School

Pay – Hourly Rate £13.75
Supporting Children Aged 5-11 with Autism Spectrum Condition

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our independent specialist school, which provides tailored education and care for children aged 5 to 11 with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition. Our pupils may present with a range of learning difficulties, and we are committed to meeting their unique needs through personalised and evidence-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils individually and in small groups under the direction of teaching staff.

Delivering engaging, stimulating, and enjoyable learning activities tailored to pupils’ needs.

Promoting communication, independence, and social-emotional development.

Contributing to a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.

Assisting with the implementation of personalised education plans.

Essential Criteria:

Knowledge or experience of the prime areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is desirable.

Ability to deliver learning in a fun and meaningful way.

Valid UK driving licence.

Commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting autistic learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
