Teaching Assistant SEN (Term Time Only)
Salary: £13.75 per hour
Location: Winchester
Contract: Term Time Only
This is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their committed team, supporting pupils aged 4 to 11 years with a diverse range of learning, communication and physical needs.
The pupils include those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and multi-sensory impairments, and each child brings their own unique strengths and challenges. As such, no two days in the school are the same, and they are looking for a flexible and compassionate individual who shares the passion for inclusive education and enabling every child to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils in both classroom and individual settings
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
Work closely with teaching staff, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress
Promote communication, independence, and positive behaviour
Possibly need to support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have a genuine interest in working with children with special educational needs
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in a dynamic learning environment
Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
Be proactive and able to respond effectively to the changing needs of pupils
Experience working with children with ASD and sensory needs is desirable, though not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
