Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing primary school community.

About the Role:
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will help create a positive and stimulating learning environment where every child can flourish.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEND)

Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)

Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development

Promote independence and self-esteem through positive encouragement

Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

Help manage behaviour in line with school policies

Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews

We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential)

Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic

Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Can work effectively as part of a team

Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent – desirable)
