Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • Assist with general building tasks such as demolition, excavation, and site preparation.
  • Support skilled tradespeople with their duties.
  • Ensure the worksite is clean and safe.
  • Handle and transport materials and equipment.
  • Always follow health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain all aspects of the site computerised management system to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and KPIs.
  • Communicate with suppliers via email and telephone, using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Control site security and visitor/contractor access.
  • Conduct daily site checks and log/action findings.
  • Liaise with site management and key stakeholders to ensure efficient task programming.
  • Prepare and process site paperwork for attending engineers/operatives.
  • Ensure contractors operate within appropriate SHE processes and client HSE standards.
  • Respond to reactive events such as fire alarm activations and emergency maintenance callouts.
  • Uphold premises health and safety and COSHH compliance.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance duties as required.
  • Provide porterage and logistical support services.
  • Undertake statutory inspections and general monitoring of services.
  • Act as part of the site emergency team (e.g., Fire Marshall, First Aid).
  • Report all incidents, occupational illnesses, and emergencies.
  • Perform general maintenance to both building and grounds, including cleaning, waste management, and winter gritting.
  • Undertake mandatory training courses.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and record keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH requirements.
  • Good customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to undertake basic building maintenance, handyman, security, or janitorial duties.

Vetting Level: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) – to be completed after the interview

Residency Requirement: Must be a UK resident (VISAS are invalid due to clearance requirements)
