Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to kick-start their career in accountancy. As a Trainee Accountant, you will gain hands-on experience across different areas of finance, working closely with experienced professionals while studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
* Supporting tax computations, VAT returns, and payroll processing
* Handling financial reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
* Assisting with audit assignments and compliance tasks
* Engaging with clients and addressing queries professionally
* Analysing financial data and preparing reports for senior accountants
* Keeping up to date with accounting regulations and best practices
Who We Are Looking For
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* A strong numerical and analytical mindset
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn financial software
* Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently
* A commitment to pursuing a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
