Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join a leading distribution centre based in Andover. This is working on a 4 on 4 off shift and is a temp to perm position.

Responsibilities:
– Assisting in the compilation of weekly transport statistics
– Assisting in the management and recording of road transport directive
– Ensure that all staff are debriefed in conjunction with the debrief system and that all paperwork is compliance
– Ensure reports are produced in an accurate and timely fashion
– Handle day to day queries from drivers, customers, and other internal departments
– Liaising with stores to keep them up to date with any delivery problems
– Tachograph control in line with legal requirements
– To carry out ‘front of house’ duties in issuing paperwork, fuel card, keys etc
– To assist department in taking all drivers phone queries and logging calls
– Undertake control of the yard, Manhattan, and Paragon computer systems
– Temperature monitoring

Requirements

– Experience within a similar transport role
– Excellent telephone manner
– Proficient with Microsoft Packages
– Ability to work under pressure
– Available immediately
– Excellent organisational skills

The Transport Administrator Role:
– 6am – 6pm, 4 on 4 off shift pattern
– Temp to perm role
– Paying £11.98 per hour
– Overtime after 48 hours per week, paid at £15.93 per hour
