Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
- Calculate, record, and report driver hours (core and agency) on a weekly basis.
- Process payroll and HR paperwork for the transport team.
- Maintain accurate records of driver hours, holidays, and sickness in relevant systems.
- Ensure tachograph compliance, accident forms, and fleet records are correctly maintained.
- Assist in recruiting drivers and transport staff alongside management and agencies.
- Support disciplinary meetings, investigations, and performance reporting.
- Ensure full compliance with transport regulations (Mail Integrity Code, Safety & Health, Dangerous Goods, Data Protection).
- Carry out general clerical duties such as filing, note-taking, and correspondence.
- Assist with daily routing, licence checks, and operational support as required.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external service providers to ensure smooth operations.
Additional Information – Days 6 am to 3 pm Monday to friday overtime opportunitues available

Essential Skills
- 2+ years’ experience in a transport admin or logistics role.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
- Knowledge of UK & EU driving regulations, tachograph compliance, and working time directives.
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Full UK driving licence (for occasional travel).
- Experience with Isotrak or similar telematics software (preferred).
