Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
  • Calculate, record, and report driver hours (core and agency) on a weekly basis.
  • Process payroll and HR paperwork for the transport team.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver hours, holidays, and sickness in relevant systems.
  • Ensure tachograph compliance, accident forms, and fleet records are correctly maintained.
  • Assist in recruiting drivers and transport staff alongside management and agencies.
  • Support disciplinary meetings, investigations, and performance reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with transport regulations (Mail Integrity Code, Safety & Health, Dangerous Goods, Data Protection).
  • Carry out general clerical duties such as filing, note-taking, and correspondence.
  • Assist with daily routing, licence checks, and operational support as required.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external service providers to ensure smooth operations.

Additional Information – Days 6 am to 3 pm Monday to friday overtime opportunitues available

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in a transport admin or logistics role.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
  • Knowledge of UK & EU driving regulations, tachograph compliance, and working time directives.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Full UK driving licence (for occasional travel).
  • Experience with Isotrak or similar telematics software (preferred).
