Role Overview

As a Transport Administrator at Whistl, you will be an integral part of our transportation team, ensuring seamless operations and compliance. Your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams, handling queries effectively.
  • Monitor and record driver hours, payroll, holiday, and sickness to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain transport compliance records (e.g., tachographs, accident reports, regulatory requirements).
  • Assist in recruiting drivers and transport staff alongside management and agencies.
  • Support disciplinary meetings, note-taking, and general administrative tasks.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and regulatory compliance across transport operations.
  • Assist with fleet records and vehicle compliance.

Your meticulous attention to detail and administrative proficiency will be vital in driving our continued success.

Working Hours

Any 5 over 7 days, 11:00 – 19:30.

Essential Skills

Skills and Qualities for Success:

  • 2+ years of experience in a transport admin clerk or logistics role.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
  • Knowledge of UK & EU driving regulations, tachograph compliance, and working time directives.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Full UK driving licence (for occasional travel).
  • Experience with Isotrak or similar telematics software (preferred).
  • Flexible and willing to respond to the needs of a 24-hour operation in terms of working hours.
