Wraparound Care Play Worker

Contract Type: Part-Time, Fixed Term
Location: Fareham
Pay: £80 to £100 dependent on experience*
Start Date: September ’25 to August ’26

What’s the job?
You’ll lead engaging activities for children aged 2.5 to 11, from arts and crafts to outdoor games and quiet time. Working alongside the Wraparound Club Manager, you’ll foster a safe, inspiring environment where every child feels valued, supported, and excited to take part.

Who are you?

Enthusiastic about working with children
Creative, reliable, and confident engaging young learners
Experience in a childcare or playwork setting (paid or voluntary)
A team player with strong communication and organisation skills
Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practice
Level 2 or 3 Childcare or Playwork qualification (desirable)
Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, and Health & Safety certificates (desirable)
What are your responsibilities?

Lead a variety of play-based, creative, and physical activities
Support children’s well-being, safety, and behaviour positively
Serve meals/snacks and maintain hygiene and safety standards
Record attendance, administer first aid, and report incidents appropriately
Help develop session plans, prepare equipment, and contribute to a welcoming setting
