Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications along with hours worked. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: recent experience obtained within the last 2 years of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, youth work, residential or care setting. We must be able to obtain references from these roles.
This Youth Worker and Inclusion Support position will involve working predominantly with Key Stage 2 or 3 students with an SEMH need who are currently based outside of mainstream education or transitioning to a new setting.
This role will be multi-site based and will require an element of travel by car (mileage to be paid) within the working day. You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence, be a confident driver with access to a car and insurance that covers business usage, or be prepared to add this to your policy (we can support on this).
The Role
We are seeking confident Youth Workers and Inclusion Support workers who are able to quickly build supportive, positive relationships with young people and are able to be a consistent member of staff seeing an assignment through from start to finish. We require patient, calm, composed and relatable staff who are flexible around the needs of young people.
This position is open to candidates with backgrounds in Youth Work, Residential Work with Young People, Mentoring, Sports Coaching, Behaviour Support, 1:1 or Support Work with Young People or Adults.

You must drive and have access to a car to support students within the community. Necessary risk assessments will be undertaken. Any transport will take place at individuals’ discretion.
This is a Full time, long term assignment that could turn into a contract of one year, or a permanent post depending upon performance, success in the role and circumstances.
Requirements
To be considered for this Youth Worker and Inclusion Support role, you will:
Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within the last 2 years.
We must be able to obtain valid references from these roles.
Full UK Driving Licence and access to vehicle with business insurance for use for work (or willing to add this to an existing policy)
Have completed up to date Safeguarding training within the last 6 months (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training can be provided)
Hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
